Trevor accepted a position as a New Leaders Council Institute Fellow for Spring of 2017. Additionally, he will be earning a Master’s Degree in Medical Physiology from the Medical College of Wisconsin and applying to medical school.
On completion of her second year of service, Ashley moved back to Illinois to work as a Family Care Specialist for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) in Urbana, IL.
Lynnsey accepted a position at her host site (Winnebago County Health Department) as a Health Educator. She is working primarily on tobacco prevention, mental health, and STI prevention. In 2017, Lynnsey will also be involved with the Wisconin Women’s Network Policy Institute working on teen dating violence prevention policy.
During his HealthCorps term at the Kenosha Community Health Center, Dougie focused his efforts on expanding access to healthcare and he is continuing this work as a Healthcare Navigator with Covering Wisconsin. He assists and educates residents of Dane, Columbia, and Sauk County in obtaining, keeping, and utilizing health coverage.
Ellie accepted a position with her host site (Winnebago County Health Department) as a public health educator. She is working primarily on Nutrition and Food Systems programming for the county.
After a rewarding first year, Kelli is returning to serve a second term with the Wisconsin HealthCorps at Progressive Community Health Clinic!
Sarah accepted a position as a Program Assistant for Community Connections Team, the program she served with during her year of service. She continues to focus on addressing social determinants of health by assisting with evaluation, assessment, and expansion efforts of the program.
Ryan is attending Wayne State University’s School of Medicine as a first year medical student. He is active within the Department of Neurosurgery and is the publication manager of the Brain Circulation and Environmental Disease journals.
Meng is currently working on his Master’s of Public Health at George Washington University in D.C. While in school, he is also working as an intern at a non-profit organization called Health Volunteers Overseas.
Lawrence is currently working in the Madison area and building his health care experience in preparation for medical school. He is also part of the leadership team for the Wisconsin Area Health Education Center’s Alumni Association, in charge of Outreach and Marketing.
